OM is the monitoring of the availability of parts agreed with by the customer over the lifetime of a product portfolio - to protect investments made in installed base.

The service provides the customer with a periodic status on the availability of obsolete components.

Hitachi Rail and customer jointly agree upon the reporting frequency e.g. annually, biannually or based on individual customer specification.
