In 2020 the Axle Counter & Technology Users' Group Seminar was succeeded by the Digital Products User Convention, underlining the digitalization in the railway industry.

The 8th edition of Thales Axle Counter & Technology Users' Group Seminar took place on 25th - 27th September 2017 in Dresden, Germany. The conference focused on the vision of digital railway systems taking shape to solve challenges faced by public transportation systems. The 7th edition of Thales Axle Counter & Technology Users' Group Seminar centered on train detection.It showcased the importance of train detection in high capacity metro systems, highlighted the move to optical sensing and introduced the key enablers for fast and effective rail capacity deployment and preservation.  The conference took place on 14^th – 16^th September 2015 in Hamburg, Germany.
